I quit coffee. Again. So...Green Lemonade for breakfast, and a couple hours later, 2 bananas. I'm so grateful for my Green Star juicer!!!
I finished off the gourmet olives just so they'd be gone. Damn they are delicious.
I ate beet salad, and made a mixed green salad with broccoli sprouts, sunflower sprouts, and cucumber.
I finally found a source for broccoli sprouts that aren't moldy! I have learned to look *really* closely through the clear box top and have been so used to seeing white 'fur' connecting the sprouts, that I had to look even closer the other day because I didn't see it. So I bought it, and have been enjoying it in my juices and salads since. Broccoli sprouts are so good for you, look.
For dinner, I dusted off the Spiral Slicer (Spirooli) and cranked out some zucchini 'pasta' and made a very delicious pesto sauce with it. Very simple and rather elegant meal, accompanied by flax crackers that I made last night, and raw brownies for desert.
There are nights that we enjoy a steamed piece of fish with steamed veggies, and on the days I have the time, and it feels like a fun idea, I'll make raw dinners.
Gonna love myself through the process, and be grateful for exactly who I am at every step. I think that means as much, if not more, than the food I eat!
Alissa Cohen's Pesto Pasta
Thinly peel or spiralize 3-4 zucchinis (depending on size)
Blend in Food Processor:
1/2 cup pine nuts
4 to 5 cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 cup cilantro
1/2 cup fresh basil
2 Tbs. lemon juice
3 Tbs. nama shoyu
2 cups coarsely chopped tomatoes
Bob's yer uncle!

I will love you through it, too :)
I started drinking coffee again when we moved. What did I do a stupid thing like that for?
Ah! Zucchini Baby!! You are a sight for sore eyes! :)
You know, I started again when I was on tour, so maybe it's about uprooting our routine? Either way, I'll love you through it, too.
