Well Howdy!

Things have turned around for me since the last (latest) time I've admitted to being off the ol' wagon.

Maybe it was putting it in print, or the fact that I have a month to go before I embark on an 8 week tour. Whatever it was, I straightened up and I'm tryin' to fly right.

What am I talking about??

I'm eating better :)

In fact, I'm about 90% raw these days, about 5 days now. Yay!! Feeling better by the day, as is always the case.

Just thought I'd put that out there!

Good for you!

I've been slipping a little too. I notice this coordinates with the fact that I've started running again. Though my body feels great from the exercise, a little voice in my head says "protein!" after I work out. This morning I'm actually have two soft boiled eggs!

*sigh* At least they are from our own happy chickens.

Just to motivate myself I've joined the Raw Fu 100 day challenge.... it starts August 10th.

AWESOME! I knew you would turn it around!
I'm not doing so good myself. All the raw food I get I pick out of the yard right now! We are short on money, the fridge motor went kaput and now we are eating out the cupboards, if you take my meaning!

Beans, rice, dried veges and cans of tomato sauce. Blech. I'm glad they r there, though! Next week will be better :)

I came across your blog last week and just wanted to write and say you are SO INSPIRATIONAL!!! I just went raw last month and love reading your recipe recommendations - in fact, just tried the falafel last night - total YUM!

Good luck with your tour and your album! I can't wait to see more updates on your blog!

Thank you for your well-wishes with the tour and album. I am only at a computer for a smattering of time and then must play catch-up...today looks like I'll get a bunch done, so you never know...an update may be in the works very soon.

Thanks for writing, and stay in touch!

Hi Kathleen,

You're a sweetheart! thanks for your comments. That's a very lovely and forgiving way to put it, 'finding my balance'...and things are falling into place! The more raw I eat, the greater I feel...

Big hug, & thanks!

Hi Christy,

I would be interested, but I'll have to wait until I'm off the road. I'm on tour until Oct 19 and while it's easy to be raw on the road, it wouldn't be easy to juice every day as neeeded. A hell of a good idea for the winter when I'm back. Thanks so much for thinking of me! I love your support!!

Hi Zucchini Baby,

thanks!! Being on the road makes it easy, too. I travel with a cooler and only stop at organic produce sections and load up on the good stuff. And I eat a lot of avocado and chard sandwiches on ezekiel sesame bread. The odd cold evening when we're camping, we heat up a can of chili but overall I'm rawkin'. ;)

I sure do know what you mean about money getting in the way of this kind of eating. We have times like that too when we have to stall our raw plan and just eat so we can make it till pay day! Always better days ahead. Take care of yourself, you awesome woman, you.
